First LCA Mark1A fighter aircraft squadron to be deployed at Nal air base
The Indian Air Force plans to establish the first squadron of the indigenous LCA Mark1A fighter aircraft at the Nal air base in Rajasthan. These advanced fighters will be equipped with indigenous radars and avionics. The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is expected to deliver the first LCA Mark1A aircraft to the Indian Air Force by February-March. In total, 83 LCA Mark1A aircraft are already under production, with an additional 97 cleared for production. The Indian Air Force is gradually replacing its MiG series aircraft with the LCA variants.
