Ajit Pawar says his earlier stand against old pension scheme has changed
Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has changed his stand on the old pension scheme (OPS) and stated that the state government wants to strike a balance between salaries, pension amount, and its burden on the state's finances. The OPS is being demanded by government and semi-government employees. Pawar mentioned that the Centre is addressing this pending issue, which will provide financial benefits to eligible individuals from 2021. He also emphasized the need for individuals to make financial arrangements for their post-retirement life.
