IndiaTimes Wednesday, 13 December 2023
A student from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been expelled from the hostel and is facing legal repercussions for making objectionable comments about Prophet Mohammad. The AMU administration has suspended him and filed a police complaint. Aligarh DSP Suamn Kanojia said, "When the complainant tried to stop the accused, he abused and threatened him. Investigation is being conducted, and action will be taken accordingly." The allegations were made by a fellow student who stated that the accused made offensive remarks about Islam and the Prophet. University officials managed to prevent potential violence by handing over the accused to his parents.
