Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai announces housing for 18 lakh poor under PMAY, vows to fulfil poll promises

Chhattisgarh Chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday said his first cabinet meeting decided to provide houses to 18 lakh poor people under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana (PMAY) and assured that steps would be taken to fulfil all poll promises. He added that the previous Congress government had left the coffers empty but his government would overcome the situation with the cooperation from the centre. Addressing his maiden press conference Sai said “18 lakh poor people, who were denied houses during the previous Congress regime, will now get the residences under PMAY.
