After getting bids worth Rs 16k crore, NHAI aims at surpassing monetisation target from auctioning national highways

The NHAI aims to surpass its target of raising Rs 10,000 crore from auctioning completed highway projects this year. So far, it has bid out two project bundles, raising Rs 6,544 crore. It opened bids for two more bundles, which will bring in Rs 9,384 crore. This takes the total under the monetisation programme to Rs 16,000 crore. Cube Highways and IRB Infrastructure were the highest bidders in the latest round of bids. The NHAI is confident of raising Rs 40,000 crore through monetisation of highways by March 2024.
