Farmers and leaders of three khaps held a panchayat in support of Neelam Verma who was arrested for breaching Parliament security. The panchayat called for Neelam's release, dropping of charges under the anti-terror law, and objective media coverage. Neelam has no criminal record and was advocating for the marginalized. The panchayat and khap members offered legal assistance and vowed to take major decisions if Neelam is not released. The Majra Khap spokesperson mentioned that Neelam was not associated with any party.
