Kids' mental health survey, India's 1st, to start in Uttarakhand
Friday, 15 December 2023 A team of surveyors trained by experts from Nimhans and the Uttarakhand government will conduct a survey to gather foundational information about mental health issues among children and adolescents in Uttarakhand. The survey aims to assess the prevalence of intellectual disability, mental disturbances, and common mental disorders in this age group. This comprehensive mental health survey is the first of its kind in India and will serve as a blueprint for similar surveys nationwide. The surveyors were trained for three months and will follow specific rules and protocols to address the sensitive categories of children and adolescents.
