University Grants Commission says get-from-India foreign degrees not valid

IndiaTimes Friday, 15 December 2023
A business school in Karjat offers UK university degrees to hundreds of students without any interaction with UK faculty or campus. Similarly, a Bengaluru college provides academic pathways for international degrees without requiring students to leave the country. However, these arrangements have been questioned by the University Grants Commission (UGC), which states that degrees from unrecognized institutes will not be valid. Students who have enrolled in these programs have discovered that their degrees are not recognized, leading some to take legal action.
