Eyes missing from body, CMO suspended, two doctors sent to judicial remand
Three days after family members found eyes missing from the body of a 20-year-old woman, UP deputy CM Brajesh Pathak has suspended Budaun's chief medical officer (CMO) Pradeep Varshney with "immediate effect" on Friday, reports Kanwardeep Singh . Pathak shared the information on his 'X' handle and said that the CMO was suspended for "negligence towards his duties." Two docs who were in the autopsy team have been sent to jail. After the incident came to light on Monday, Budaun district magistrate Manoj Kumar ordered a magisterial inquiry into the matter.
