Saturday, 16 December 2023 Mahesh Kumawat, has been arrested on Saturday in the Parliament security breach case on on charges of criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence. Police had been interrogating Kumawat along with his cousin Kailash since morning before making the arrest. 'Mastermind' Lalit Jha, who has also been arrested, had fled to Nagaur, Rajasthan after the incident where the cousins had reportedly arranged for his stay. Kumawat will be appear before Delhi's Patiala House Court judge. This brings the total to six arrests so far.
