IndiaTimes Saturday, 16 December 2023
Uttarakhand HC has granted compassionate appointment to Sarita, who sought divorce from her husband due to her troubled marriage. Faced with an alcoholic husband employed as a chowkidar at a TB hospital in Nainital, Sarita initiated divorce proceedings in 2015, just two years after their marriage. However, before the legal tussle reached its resolution, her husband, Hari Sevak, passed away at the age of 40 in 2019. Sarita soon applied for compassionate appointment.
