A Gujarati family, accompanied by a chemical business owner, embarked on an unlawful journey to the US from Mexico. They encountered a near-fatal accident while crossing the border. The family had paid a human smuggler a large sum for a safe journey. After the accident, they were taken to a camp in Yuma, where the wife received medical treatment. They were later sent to New Jersey for legal proceedings, and the husband's asylum plea is currently pending with US authorities.
