ASI submits Gyanvapi survey report in Varanasi court, next hearing on December 21

IndiaTimes Monday, 18 December 2023
The ASI submitted the Gyanvapi mosque survey report to the Varanasi district court in a sealed cover. The Hindu side objected to the report being sealed and requested its availability in the public domain. The Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee also requested that the report's findings not be disclosed to the public. The court heard all sides and will give a comprehensive order on December 21. The survey was conducted by the ASI on the order of a Varanasi court to determine if the mosque was built on a pre-existing Hindu temple.
