IndiGo, the low-cost carrier founded by Rahul Bhatia, has achieved several milestones, including crossing the 10-crore passenger mark in a calendar year, surpassing Rs 1 lakh crore in market capitalisation, and operating over 2,000 daily flights. IndiGo has joined a select group of global carriers operating on such a large scale, solidifying its position among the world's top 10 airlines by passenger traffic. In 2022, IndiGo flew 7.8 crore passengers, exceeding pre-Covid levels. The airline currently operates to 118 destinations, including 32 international destinations. IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers expressed delight at reaching this historic milestone.
