Amid power woes, Kashmir Valley reels under intense cold

Amid a power crisis and intense cold in Kashmir Valley, Gulmarg recorded the coldest night at -8°C and Pahalgam at -5.8°C. Srinagar and other parts of the Valley saw a rise in minimum temperature. However, electricity shortage continues to plague the region, with daily power cuts lasting for several hours. Despite the installation of smart meters, power supply remains erratic, causing inconvenience to residents. J&K lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha's instructions to adhere to the power supply schedule have not been followed, leaving residents frustrated.
