IS module busted, terror attacks foiled after raids in 4 states: NIA
The National Investigation Agency busted a terror module of the banned global outfit Islamic State. The module, based in Ballari, Karnataka, was planning to carry out terror strikes, including IED blasts. Eight highly radicalised operatives, including the module's head, were arrested during raids across four states. The seized explosives components point to a sinister plan to fabricate IEDs. The module was involved in promoting terror and terror-related activities of IS, and actively recruiting potential terror recruits.
