VHP invites BJP pioneers Advani and Joshi for Ram Temple Consecration
Tuesday, 19 December 2023 Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has invited former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani and Union Minister Murli Manohar Joshi to the grand consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The temple trust advised against their attendance due to age and health concerns. Advani and Joshi, pioneers of the Ram Mandir movement, expressed their intention to attend the January 22 event. The Supreme Court's decision in November 2019 allocated the disputed land for the temple construction. PM Modi will participate in the event, which will include the participation of 13 Akharas, 150 sages and saints, and various dignitaries.
Ayodhya's Ram temple consecration on January 22 will enforce strict entry rules, permitting only those with valid trust invitations or on government duty. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed officials to coordinate with local hotels, urging cancellation of non-trust bookings....

He said the Congress has been challenged and threatened by the BJP, but it will defeat the saffron party and Narendra Modi in Gujarat just the way it was defeated in Ayodhya. Gandhi was addressing party workers days after the Congress and BJP clashed outside the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) office when saffron party workers went there to protest against his (Gandhi's) remarks on Hindus.
