When case was taken away from judge for flouting rules

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 19 December 2023
The Kashi Vishwanath-Gyanvapi mosque dispute took a curious turn in August when Pritinker Diwaker, the then chief justice of Allahabad high court, transferred the cases to his bench from the bench of Justice Prakash Padia. This decision was made due to concerns about the non-observance of proper procedures and the reservation of judgments. Anjuman Intezamia Masajid (AIM) and the UP Sunni Central Waqf Board approached the Supreme Court to challenge the decision, but the court declined to intervene.
