West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee met PM Narendra Modi to discuss pending central funds for the state. She highlighted the pending funds related to MGNREGA and expressed concern over the lack of allocation in the budget for 100 days of work. She mentioned the cessation of funds for the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojna, closure of rural development schemes, and discontinuation of the health mission program. Mamata stated that a joint meeting involving officials from both the Centre and the state was suggested to resolve the issues. She asserted that the Centre owes Rs 1.15 lakh crore to West Bengal.
