Andhra Pradesh prepares for surge in Covid-19 cases

Andhra Pradesh health department is prepared to tackle a surge in Covid-19 cases similar to Kerala. The officials have reviewed the state's readiness to handle increased cases. The health officials stated that the new strain is less virulent and has resulted in few hospitalizations in other states. The officials were directed to activate RTPCR labs in government hospitals and conduct a minimum of 1,000 tests daily. All necessary drugs, PPE equipment, and oxygen supplies have been positioned in hospitals. People are advised to follow Covid-appropriate behavior and seek testing if experiencing symptoms.
