Mumbai: Doctor, 2 others cheat duo of Rs 1.2 crore with MBBS seat promise

A doctor and his accomplices have been booked for cheating two MBBS aspirants by making false promises of admission to a medical college. The victims, a girl and a boy preparing for NEET, were seeking MBBS seats. The doctor mentioned the management quota and introduced the families to a woman named Heena. She asked for Rs 62 lakh each as payment and promised admission. After paying nearly Rs 1.2 crore collectively, the students did not secure admission and the families were unable to obtain a refund from the doctor or Heena.
