Haryana's Jind: POCSO court awards 25-year old rigourous imprisonment for raping minor

As per the complaint, kin of the victim, who hails from a village which comes under Julana police station, had approached the women police station on October 14, 2022 alleging that their neighbour, identified as Sonu, entered the house and raped her. Moreover, he threatened to kill her if anyone found out the truth. Eight months later, the victim delivered an infant as well. The police booked the accused under section 323, 376 (2) (n), 376 (2) (1), 506, 452 of IPC and POCSO (6) and investigated the matter.
