India sends special charter flight for Papua New Guinea with relief supplies as part of USD 1 million aid
A special charter flight, loaded with approximately 11 tonnes of disaster relief material and 6 tonnes of medical aid, took off from New Delhi to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. This initiative is part of India's USD 1 million aid commitment to assist the people affected by the volcanic eruption. The disaster relief material includes tents, sleeping mats, hygiene kits, meals ready to eat, and water storage tanks. The medical aid comprises essential medicines, surgical items, sanitary pads, rapid antigen test kits, pregnancy test kits, mosquito repellents, and baby food.
