Bihar CM Nitish Kumar asks officials to increase RTPCR tests amid Covid surge

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar held a high-level review meeting to address the spike in cases of Covid's sub-variant JN.1. He urged health officials to increase RTPCR tests and ensure availability of medicines, equipment, beds, oxygen, and human resources in hospitals. The CM emphasized the need to make people aware through social media and propaganda. He also mandated that all visitors to hospitals wear masks. The additional chief secretary (health) reported that two cases of the new variant were found in Bihar, but the patients are in home isolation and healthy.
