Man dies in police custody on Jammu outskirts

A 35-year-old man died in police custody on the outskirts of Jammu in Jourian area on Friday. Police said Sushil Kumar alias Sonu of Garhi Bishnah in Jourian died under suspicious circumstances at Jourian police post. Sushil’s body has been sent to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, for postmortem while the matter is being investigated, police said. Meanwhile, family and relatives of the deceased staged a protest at the police station concerned, demanding an in-depth probe into the matter and punishment to the culprits.
