Hindu temple wall defaced with anti-India graffiti in US
Saturday, 23 December 2023 A Hindu temple in Newark, California, called the Swaminarayan temple, was vandalized with anti-India and pro-Khalistan graffiti. The temple administration discovered the graffiti on an exterior wall of the building and immediately informed the local authorities. The police are investigating the incident as a targeted act and a potential hate crime. This incident follows the filing of an indictment against an Indian national for his alleged involvement in a failed conspiracy to assassinate India-designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on US soil.
The four-day wedding celebrations began on Friday with the traditional Hindu wedding ceremony and will be followed by a grand reception that’s expected to run throughout the weekend.
