From serial killer to author: Jayanandan's redemption journey

Convicted serial killer 'Ripper' Jayanandan, serving a life sentence, launched his book 'Pulariviriyum Munpe', a memoir disguised as a novel. He expressed remorse during his time in death row and the transformative effect it had on him. Witnessing a blind young woman being supported by an old man inspired him to write the novel. Jayanandan contemplated donating his eyes to the blind woman after execution. The book was released by Justice (retd) K Narayana Kurup in the presence of Jayanandan and his family. Jayanandan's daughter, Keerthi, a lawyer, played a role in securing his parole.
