Union home minister Amit Shah, in Ahmedabad, stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to make 140 crore people, including the poor, self-reliant. Shah addressed beneficiaries of the PM SVANidhi scheme, which provides loans to street vendors. PM Modi's goal is to achieve self-reliance in space technology, defence, and other fields. Shah highlighted the Modi government's efforts to improve the standard of life for the poor, including providing homes, electricity connections, gas cylinders, toilets, ration, and health insurance. He mentioned the success of the PM-SVANidhi scheme in his constituency of Gandhinagar.
