Loyalists in key posts; BS Yediyurappa, son wrest control of Karnataka BJP

Former CM Yediyurappa and his son Vijayendra have established control over the state BJP unit in Karnataka. Most of the newly appointed office bearers, including vice presidents, general secretaries, and secretaries, are supporters of Yediyurappa. Yediyurappa also had a say in the appointments of leader and deputy leaders of opposition in the state legislature. The high command's renewed faith in Yediyurappa is attributed to the party's defeat in the assembly elections. This has marginalized Yediyurappa's detractors within the party, leading to concerns of injustice in North Karnataka.
