Delhi: 73-year-old latest to fall prey to online scamsters, loses Rs 8 lakh of savings

A 73-year-old man lost around Rs 8 lakh to online scamsters who posed as FedEx representatives and crime branch officials. Delhi Police filed an FIR and launched an investigation. This year, a city doctor lost Rs 4.5 crore in one of the biggest e-heists. The fraud involves deceiving the target by claiming a held consignment with narcotics. The victim was connected with imposters claiming to be Mumbai Police's cyber cell and Crime Branch, who demanded funds for bank account verification.
