Bihar Cabinet decides to give govt employee status to around 3.5 lakh contractual teachers

The Bihar Cabinet has decided to grant government employee status to around 3.5 lakh contractual teachers in government-run schools. These exclusive teachers will need to clear competency examinations to maintain their government employee status. The government will determine which agency will conduct the exams. The salary structure will be revised according to Bihar Public Service Commission guidelines after passing the exams. The Cabinet also approved a new tourism policy, which includes developing world-class tourism facilities and providing financial assistance to promote hotels and resorts at tourist places.
