UP SI takes bribe from gang rape accused, nabbed

A police sub-inspector, Mahendra Singh Yadav, was arrested for demanding money from a gang rape accused to file a closure report in his favor. The accused had filed a criminal case against a resident in Pilibhit, and when he didn't withdraw the case, an FIR with the charge of gang rape was filed against him. SI Yadav has allegedly demanded money from the gang rape accused to close the matter. He was caught red-handed and booked under IPC section 7.
