Karnataka to mandate seven days of home isolation for those turning Covid +ve

Karnataka government mandates home isolation for 7 days for all Covid-positive individuals and testing of symptomatic primary contacts. 5000 daily Covid tests to be conducted. Employees in home isolation to receive 7-day leave. Doctors and staff to visit home isolated and general ward Covid patients. Tele-ICU monitoring for ICU patients. No restrictions on New Year celebrations or interstate travel. Masking advised in public places. Precaution doses of Covid vaccines to be administered in taluk and district hospitals. Flu vaccines for healthcare workers. Covid-19 wards in district hospitals and medical colleges. Whole genome sequencing and death audit to identify causes. CT scans only for confirmed cases.
