Police recruitment: UP extends upper age limit by 3 years
Wednesday, 27 December 2023 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a relaxation of three years in the age limit for upcoming police recruitment in the state. The decision is in response to the three-year recruitment gap caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The maximum age limit for this year's recruitment has been increased from 22 to 25 years for general male aspirants, and from 22 to 28 years for general female aspirants. The maximum age limit for reserved category students has also been raised to 30 years for males and 33 years for females. The government has issued a notification for the largest police recruitment drive in the state's history, with plans to hire 60,244 constables.
