The total number of JN.1 cases in India is 110. The sub-variant has been detected in states like Gujarat, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Delhi. Symptoms of JN.1 are mild, resulting in few hospitalizations. Experts note that JN.1 carries significant mutations.
