Nitish Kumar breaks silence on reports of major organisational change in JD(U)
Thursday, 28 December 2023 The rumours have primarily been about the impending resignation of JD(U) national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh 'Lalan', for alleged proximity towards ally RJD at the expense of loyalty to his own party.
Police resorted to cane charge and used water cannons during a protest demonstration by the Youth Congress Bihar outside the legislative council in Patna on Wednesday. The workers held a protest demonstration demanding action from chief minister Nitish Kumar over issues including rising prices, rampant crime, and unemployment in the state. According to SDM Patna Shrikant Khandekar, the protest was held without permission from the administration and escalated when demonstrators broke barricades and attacked police personnel with lathis.
