Conviction rate high in Parvathipuram district: SP Vikrant Patil

The district superintendent of Police Vikrant Patil announced that the district has seen convictions in 17 grievous crime cases, including crimes against women and children. The convictions resulted in 20 years of imprisonment in seven cases and life imprisonment in others. The number of cases against women and children has decreased, with a 35% dip in overall cases, a 38% decrease in Pocso cases, and a 55% decrease in the kidnap of minor girls cases. However, road accident cases have increased by 3%, with 95 deaths and 389 injuries.
