2-month-old 'bubble baby' gets bone marrow transplant

A two-month-old girl with bubble baby syndrome undergoes bone marrow transplant (BMT) in Mumbai. Anisha Bandekar, brought from Karwar, Karnataka, to Wadia Hospital, underwent BMT at 19 days old. Stem cell matches were found from donor registries. Anisha's parents had a child who died from infection, leading to the early diagnosis of severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID).
