'Don't necessarily take what comes in foreign media at face value': Jaishankar rebuts claims of democracy sliding in India

He emphasized the need to judge their motives and agenda. Jaishankar highlighte India's initiatives to strengthen its relations, particularly in the Gulf region, where it was previously neglected. He mentioned the non-reciprocal policy towards the neighborhood and the importance of an integrated construct for dealing with regions like the Indian Ocean and Central Asia. Furthermore, he asserted that India engages with major powers while maintaining a larger global footprint and a constructive approach towards the diaspora.
