'It was tied to Quad Summit...couldn't get everything agreed by everybody': S Jaishankar on Joe Biden not travelling to India for Republic Day
US President Joe Biden's visit to India in late January was not possible due to scheduling demands. The visit was tied to the proposed Quad Summit, but the dates did not work with all partners. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar mentioned that they couldn't get everything agreed with everybody and couldn't find a landing zone. The Quad Summit, initially planned for January, is now proposed to be held later in 2024. French President Emmanuel Macron will be the Chief Guest for the January 26 Republic Day celebrations in India.
