The High Court of Himachal Pradesh has restrained the six Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) appointed by the Congress government from functioning as ministers and availing ministerial amenities. The appointment of CPS in Himachal Pradesh was deemed unconstitutional. In January last year, the state government appointed six MLAs as Chief Parliamentary Secretaries. The appointments have been challenged in the state High Court by 12 BJP MLAs. The court order will be revealed on Thursday, and the next hearing is scheduled for March 12.
