Wednesday, 3 January 2024 Uttar Pradesh ATS arrested Zibran Makrani, a 24-year-old man from Jhansi, for hateful social media posts related to the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The posts provoked revenge for the demolition of the Babri mosque and promoted enmity between religious groups. Zibran Makrani, a resident of Mukaryana in Jhansi district, had done the course of Hafiz from a Jhansi madrasa. An FIR has been registered against him at ATS police station in Lucknow.
