The National Medical Commission (NMC) has introduced new regulations to ensure work-life balance for post-graduate medical students. These regulations include a weekly off and at least 20 days of casual leave per year. The NMC notification also requires post-graduate medical students to spend three months in a district hospital as part of their curriculum. In addition, the notification mandates that all rounds of counseling for admission in PG courses be conducted by government agencies and online to ensure transparency and prevent corruption in admissions.
