Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Dr Shrikant Shinde criticized Jitendra Awhad for his comments on Bhagwan Shri Ram and suggested he focus on topics like Aurangzeb, Afzal Khan, and Khilji. Shinde, speaking at a cleanliness drive event in Kalyan and Ulhasnagar, condemned Awhad's habit of mocking Hindu deities and called for strict action against him. Awhad, an MLA from Mumbra, had previously defended his statements about Lord Ram being non-vegetarian, claiming they were based on solid evidence.
