Babri case litigant invited to temple consecration
Friday, 5 January 2024 Iqbal Ansari, a former litigant representing the Muslim side in the Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit, has received an invitation to the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. He had also been invited to the 'bhoomipujan' of the shrine in August 2020. Iqbal expresses happiness that the idol of Shri Ram is being installed and emphasizes the harmony between Hindus and Muslims in Ayodhya. He highlights that Muslims across the country respected the Supreme Court verdict and there were no protests. Iqbal's father, Hashim Ansari, was the original litigant in the case.
