Karnataka man gets rigorous imprisonment for entire life for rape, murder of 6-year-old girl
Friday, 5 January 2024 A 41-year-old man, Anil Balagar, was sentenced to life imprisonment without remission for raping and killing a six-year-old girl in Banashankari III Stage. Balagar, a father of two from Shahapur in Yadgir district, lured the girl to his house by promising to show her a cartoon on TV. He sexually abused and smothered her to death. Balagar then had sex with her body before stuffing it in a carton box. The decomposed body was later found by the police during a house-to-house search.
