Rajnath Singh to visit UK to discuss defence, security issues
Sunday, 7 January 2024 Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will visit the United Kingdom on January 8, 2024. He will discuss bilateral issues with Secretary of State for Defence Grant Shapps. Singh will also meet UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs David Cameron. The visit aims to enhance defence, security, and industrial cooperation. Singh will interact with UK defence industry leaders and the Indian community.
Britain's Conservative Party has elected Kemi Badenoch as its new leader, becoming the first Black woman to lead a major political party in the UK. Badenoch succeeds former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, whose tenure was marked by the Conservatives' worst election performance since 1832.
