Centre to collaborate with AIIMS in four states to set-up one stop centres for assistive devices for disabled and elderly

The Central government is working on setting up PM Divyasha Kendras (PMDKs) within the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to reduce waiting time for people with disabilities and senior citizens in need of assistive devices. The Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) is exploring collaborations with AIIMS across states. In Goa, ALIMCO will set up its first centre in the Government Medical College in Panaji, providing access to assistive devices for the disabled population.
