Ghaziabad sees UP's first JN.1 case - Delhi doctor visiting her relatives

UP's first case of the JN.1 strain of Covid was reported in Ghaziabad. A 35-year-old doctor tested positive after visiting relatives in Vaishali. Genome testing confirmed the presence of the new strain, leading to cross-notification by Delhi. Two relatives tested negative. Symptoms of the JN.1 strain include sore throat, headache, and lethargy. Helplines have been set up for reporting Covid cases in the city.
