Thursday, 11 January 2024 Union Minister Anurag Thakur criticized the Congress party for declining the invitation to attend the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. Thakur said that people will "reject" the Congress party in the upcoming elections. Congress declared that it would skip the inauguration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple, calling it a "political project" of the BJP and RSS. Thakur further asserted that Congress boycotts events and the people will do the same in the next elections.
Supporters of Union Minister and BJP candidate from Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat, Anurag Thakur, have started celebrating outside the party office in Hamirpur as the latest ECI trends show him leading by a margin of 1,73,461 votes. Counting is still underway.
